This was actually in the Chicago Tribune on Thursday, February 2, 2006. We sent in our picture and information not actually believing that we would be picked to appear in the paper. To our surprise people started calling us and congratulating us about it before we even knew we were in there. We just posted it for those of you that didn't get a chance to see it. You can also see it proudly displayed at one of our favorite hang out spots, Cleo's on Chicago Ave, off of Damen. The world's greatest bar wench (waitress does not do her justice), Julie, has it taped to the wall in support of our union.
While we were thrilled to be featured, alone and in color none the less (you'd think other people would be getting married in the third largest city in the U.S. We figure whoever selects the couples must be a Loyola grad and appreciated that we mentioned our alma mater no fewer than 942 times), Sam is concerned that the way the colors were printed makes us look like aliens. I just think it makes me look vaguely Japanese. So I want to assure you that we are neither Japanese nor aliens.
